BEFRIEND THE RED STATES!

The (non-politically affiliated) Red States were formed in September of 2007 as part of the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America’s League of semi-professional groups (a league mentioned in The New York Times). Each member has a rich background in performance, specifically in the realm of contemporary a cappella, and come together to make a powerhouse sound combined with a dynamic, engaging performance. The Red States focus on music that conveys emotions associated with its signature color: anger, aggression, sex, and energy.

This 14-strong group is dedicated to bringing its repertoire of rock, dirty pop and R&B hits all over New York City...and beyond.
